Please note: It is very important that parents and entrants are fully aware of the Regulations and Conditions contained in the Syllabus and therefore request that schools, instructors and individuals do not distrubute Entry Forms without the complete text of the Syllabus.

Conditions of Entry

ENTRIES: All entries must be submitted on the official entry form/s and comply with all defined requirements, including:

a. The conditions specified for each section
b. Entries will be received at the Roma & District Eisteddfod Inc. PO Box 396, ROMA 4455
c. Entries will be accompanied by the appropriate entry fee

RECEIPT OF ENTRIES: The Committee has defined that entry closing time is 5pm Friday, on a date to be advised in 2011. Entries received after the defined closing date and time will not be accepted.

ENTRY FEES: Entry fees as set out hereunder must accompany all entries.

Ensembles & Groups $6
Duos & Trios $5
Solos $3

AGE LIMIT: A competitor must be within the specified age limit as at 1 September 2011.

PROOF OF AGE: The Association reserves the right to call upon any Competitor at any time to furnish proof of age and to withhold any prize until proof shall be furnished. This rule shall be strictly enforced and any infringements will disqualify entrants from future Eisteddfods.

AGE GROUPS: Where age groups are specified, Competitors must compete in their own age group only, except in Duos or Trios where it is permissible to partner someone in an older section. (This will debar the younger competitor from partnering anyone in his or her own age group.) In all Duos and Trios one of the competitors must be the correct age.

CHOOSING APPROPRIATE PIECES: Vocal - Pop/Rock songs are (usually) not suitable to develop or showcase the voice, as required in vocal sections. Children’s voices are not suited to most styles of rock/pop songs. Instrumental: Pop/Rock music genre is not suitable for this category, unless specified in the Section.
